100# Tank Rental Price Increase

Effective for June 1, 2023 - May 31, 2024 billing cycle, tank rental will increase from $35.00 to $50.00 per tank, per year.

We will no longer waive fees for propane purchased during the year.

Previously if a customer purchased a refill we would be able to waive the lease fee for the tank for the current billing cycle.  Unfortunately, we will no longer be able to offer the tank fee rental waiver for propane purchased during the year.  Now, if you have 1-100# propane tank you will have a yearly rental fee of $50.00.  And if you have 2-100# propane tanks you will have a yearly rental fee of $100.00.  Fees are always billed on June 1st.

Why the increase?

There are two main reasons for the increase in tank rental.  The first is that propane tank prices have gone up significantly in the past few years, meaning that replacing older tanks is more costly than ever.  The second reason is that maintenance costs for painting and refurbishing tanks with new valves has also become more costly.  Both for parts and labor to maintain.  We put off the increase as long as we could, but it had to happen eventually since our costs have not come down.

Do you need to do anything?

As a customer, you do not need to do anything.  The lease fee increase is already in effect.

What if I want to purchase my tanks?

You can!  If you would like to purchase your tanks you may do so at $125.00 per tank.  If you purchase your tank you will not need to pay a yearly lease fee ever again!  However, you are responsible for tank maintenance meaning that if we exchange a tank and receive a tank back that is in need of refurbishing or replacing then you may incur labor or replacement charges.

I use a lot of gas, can I upgrade my tank size?

Again, you can!  Well, most of the time you can.  As long as clearances permit us to put a larger tank in place of your existing 100# tanks then you can upgrade your tank size.  Even if we have to move your tank location we can usually figure it out by coming to give you an estimate. To get started on a tank size increase call our office or use the 'Contact Us' form at the bottom of the page.
